- After order is processed and payment is made, if customer wants to cancel, a restocking fee of 10% of the total paid applies.
- Shipping & Delivery
After payment has been received, if we don't have any weather situation the birds will shipping between 5 and 10 business days. At this time, Lady Gouldian Of Miami ships merchandise only to locations within the continental United States and Puerto Rico not to international locations. Nor does Lady Gouldian Of Miami ship to Alaska, Hawaii, Guam or the US Virgin Islands. The risk of loss and title for all merchandise ordered on this Web site pass to you when the merchandise is delivered to the shipping carrier.
We will e-mail the USPS EXPRESS tracking numbers to the buyer the day we ship the birds out. The post office will contact you by the phone numbers you provide us with when your shipment of LIVE BIRDS arrives although we insist you notify your local post office of the expected delivery ahead of time after you recieve the tracking number. Please insure that the post office will be able to get in touch with you at the number(s) you provide when your birds are expected to arrive! When your local post office calls, you will be required to pick up and sign for your LIVE BIRD shipment. Sometimes the post office will deliver the birds to your address but prior arrangements should be made between you and your local post office for this. We personaly feel it is better if you pick them up as the birds will spend less time in the shipping route. Shipments can be tracked at: www.usps.com . There tracking service only updates every night so you will most likley have your birds before it shows the updated info in the tracking system. If there would happen to be a delay longer than expected this service will be helpful. If a bird(s) is DOA or if there is a problem the buyer must contact us immediately. If you do not contact us by phone or e-mail within 4 hours after receiving your birds, all guarantees are void. If shipment was not delayed, we will replace the DOA bird(s) at no charge or credit the cost of the DOA bird(s) on a future order (No money refunds are given & all credits given must be used within one year). All shipping cost and replacement shipping cost are the buyer's responsibility. The majority of the birds we sell are banded. If a bird arrives DOA, you must ship the bird with legband in place back to us within 3 days from the date you received your birds. The reason we ask for the bird back is so our vet can perform a necropsy to determine the cause of death. If you prefer not to ship the bird back you can take a photo of the bird(s) then slip the band off the DOA bird's leg (the band must be uncut nor damaged in any way) and mail it to us. If you need further information on the return process contact us. Sorry but we can not guarantee shipment of Gouldians Finches through USPS EXPRESS. It is our belief that Gouldians tend to stress faster than other birds and shipping via airline is much faster and less stressful to Gouldians than shipping USPS. We recommend shipping them only by Airlines. However, we have shipped Gouldians numerous times through USPS at the owner's request with no problems. If you choose to accept Gouldians through USPS shipping we can not be held responsible if the Gouldian stresses and dies before it arrives. Some species just aren't as hardy and tolerate as others. If you feel hesitant about shipping Gouldians USPS EXPRESS by all means choose Delta Airlines.
